Susan Sarandon spoke on the red carpet of a glittering benefit in Beverly Hills where she was being honoured by world hunger charity Heifer International.
Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis had fans doing a double take as they posed together at Heifer International’s 2nd Annual ‘Beyond Hunger: A Place At The Table’ event in LA on Thursday. The stars of 1991 smash hit Thelma & Louise barely appeared to have aged a day as they cosied up for photographers at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel.

Looking like they hadn’t aged a day since their blockbuster movie Thelma and Louise hit the big screen in 1991, Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon cosied up to each other at Heifer International’s Beyond Hunger gala last night.
Twenty-two years after co-starring in the iconic, Oscar-winning road movie “Thelma and Louise,” Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon reunited on the red carpet at a charity event in Los Angeles on Thursday. Appropriately, Davis and Sarandon appeared at “Beyond Hunger: A Place at the Table,” a fundraiser for programs seeking to empower women in the fight against global hunger.
They set out to form 18000 for 18000, with the goal of raising $1 per child by their May 2014 graduations. The two teens, friends since sixth grade, achieved and exceeded their goal in 10 months, garnering a total of $22,401.83.
They starred together in the career-making film “Thelma & Louise” 22 years ago, when both were in their 30s and 40s. But the love between Susan Sarandon, 66, and Geena Davis, 57, has only grown, judging from the photographs of the pair happily posing on the red carpet Thursday night in Los Angeles. The actresses and friends held hands and sat next to each other at Montage Beverly Hills for Heifer International’s “Beyond Hunger: A Place At The Table” gala, a charity event benefiting marginalized women.
Engaging children in local and global mission is a founding principle for members of First Presbyterian Church in Southampton, the oldest Presbyterian church in the United States. The 500-member congregation in Long Island Presbytery relies on Heifer International program resources for their yearly mission event.
